Equipment

  • Measuring jigger
  • Small plate for sugar rim

Ingredients
  

  • 1 shot 3 oz Bailey’s Red Velvet Cupcake Irish Cream liqueur
  • 3 oz vanilla vodka
  • 2 oz chocolate liqueur Godiva or crème de cacao
  • 2 shots 6 oz half and half or heavy cream
  • ¼ oz Aperol
  • ½ oz grenadine
  • Red sanding sugar for rimming
  • Chocolate syrup or heart drizzle optional
  • Whipped cream for garnish
  • Heart-shaped sprinkles for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pour red sanding sugar onto a small plate. Drizzle chocolate syrup onto another plate if using.
  • Dip the rim of each martini glass into chocolate syrup, then into red sanding sugar. Set aside.
  • Add Bailey’s Red Velvet, vanilla vodka, chocolate liqueur, half and half, Aperol, and grenadine to a shaker filled halfway with ice.
  • Shake firmly for 15–20 seconds until chilled and creamy.
  • Strain into prepared martini glasses.
  • Top with whipped cream and heart-shaped sprinkles if desired.
  • Tip: A mason jar with a tight lid works well for shaking.

  • Use quality chocolate liqueur
  • Skip heavy garnishes for small glasses
