Ingredients

For the Drink

  • 1 ounce coffee liqueur such as Kahlúa
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 2 ounces heavy cream
  • 1 pinch pumpkin spice
  • Ice cubes
  • Cinnamon stick optional garnish

For the Rim

  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup or corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin spice
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Rim

  • Mix the pumpkin spice and sugar on a small plate. Brush the rim of your serving glass with simple syrup or corn syrup. Dip the rim into the pumpkin spice mixture until evenly coated.

Step 2: Fill the Glass

  • Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice cubes.

Step 3: Add the Liquor

  • Pour the coffee liqueur over the ice. Add the vodka. Sprinkle in the pumpkin pie spice.

Step 4: Add the Cream

  • Slowly pour the heavy cream over the back of a spoon for a beautiful layered appearance, or pour it directly into the glass if you prefer.

Step 5: Stir and Garnish

  • Lightly stir before drinking. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and an extra pinch of pumpkin spice if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Heavy cream creates the richest texture.
  • Half-and-half makes a lighter cocktail.
  • Fresh pumpkin pie spice delivers the best flavor.
  • Adjust the amount of pumpkin spice to your taste.
  • Always serve immediately after preparing.
  • Avoid crushed ice, which melts quickly and waters down the drink.
  • If using almond milk, choose an unsweetened barista-style variety for better texture.
