Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 chai tea bags
  • 1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy like oat, almond, or soy
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or sweetener of choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream for whipped topping
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • Ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup 120 g creamy milk (extra for topping)

Instructions
 

Brew the Chai

  • Bring 1 cup of water to a simmer. Add the chai tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove the bags and let the tea cool slightly.

Mix the Pumpkin Base

  • In a small saucepan, whisk together pumpkin puree, sugar, salt, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice with 1 cup of milk. Warm over medium heat until smooth and combined (about 3 minutes). Do not boil.

Combine the Latte

  • Fill a glass with ice cubes. Pour in the chai tea, then add the pumpkin milk mixture. Stir well until blended.

Make the Cream Topping

  • Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until slightly thick. Pour a spoonful of creamy milk on top for extra smoothness.

Serve and Sip

  • Add whipped cream on top, sprinkle with extra pumpkin pie spice, and enjoy your iced pumpkin chai latte!

Notes

This recipe makes 4 servings. You can easily halve the recipe if making it just for yourself.
