  • Fresh oranges – 4 medium-sized for juicing
  • 1 cup of milk dairy or plant-based
  • Vanilla extract – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 2 tablespoons or to taste
  • Ice cubes – 1 cup
  • A pinch of salt

Step 1: Juice the Oranges

  • Juice the oranges until you have about 1 cup of fresh orange juice. I love using my hand juicer for this – it feels more authentic.

Step 2: Blend the Ingredients

  • Combine the fresh orange juice, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, ice cubes, and a pinch of salt in your blender. Blend until smooth and frothy. This usually takes about 2-3 minutes.

Step 3: Taste and Adjust

  • Give your Orange Julius a taste. Feel free to add more sugar or ice to suit your preference. Blend again if you make any adjustments.

Step 4: Serve Immediately

  • Pour the mixture into glasses and serve immediately. The frothier, the better!
