Ingredients
  

  • 1 oz hibiscus syrup
  • 1 –2 tablespoons honey to taste
  • 1/4 cup orange juice fresh preferred
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice no sugar added
  • Juice of 1/2 lime
  • 2 ounces light rum
  • 1 ounce dark rum
  • Sparkling water optional, for topping
  • Hawaiian pink salt or kosher salt optional, for rim
  • Garnish: mint sprig orange slice, or edible flower

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the glass: Run a lime wedge around the rim and dip into salt if using.
  • Mix the base: In a shaker, combine hibiscus syrup, honey, orange juice, pineapple juice, and lime juice. / Mix all the liquid ingredients
  • Add rum: Pour in the light rum and dark rum.
  • Shake: Add ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
  • Strain and serve: Strain into a glass filled with ice.
  • Finish: Top with sparkling water if you like a lighter drink.
  • Garnish: Add mint, orange slice, or edible flower for a beautiful presentation.
