Equipment

  • Citrus juicer
  • fine mesh sieve
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Pitcher

Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe oranges
  • 2 large limes
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup to taste (Optional sweetener)
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Wash Your Citrus: Start by thoroughly rinsing the oranges and limes under cold water to remove impurities. Dry them with a clean cloth.
  • Juice the Oranges: Cut the oranges in half horizontally. Using your citrus juicer, press out the juice. Strain it through a sieve into a pitcher to catch any seeds and excess pulp.
  • Juice the Limes: Repeat the process with your limes, ensuring you squeeze out all the tangy goodness.
  • Combine and Sweeten: Pour the lime juice into the pitcher with the orange juice. If you’re using a sweetener, whisk it until fully dissolved.
  • Chill and Serve: For the best flavor, chill the juice for about 30 minutes before serving. Serve over ice cubes garnished with a mint leaf for that extra flair.

Notes

The sweetness of your juice will depend on the natural sugars in the fruits. Taste as you go and adjust the sweetener accordingly. Remember, fresh is best, so consume the juice within a day for optimal flavor and nutrition.
