Ingredients
  

  • 6 to 8 large blood oranges to yield about 2 cups of juice
  • 1 Sicilian lemon
  • 1 Tangerine
  • Sweetener of your choice such as honey, agave syrup, or sugar
  • Ice cubes optional
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Start by thoroughly washing the blood oranges, Sicilian lemon and Tangerine to remove any pesticides or impurities from the skin. Cut each blood orange in half crosswise.
  • Using your citrus juicer or hand press, squeeze the juice from the oranges, Sicilian lemon and Tangerine. Be sure to extract as much juice as possible.
  • strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp or seeds.
  • Taste the juice and add sweetener if needed, depending on your preference for sweetness.
  • Stir the juice well to ensure the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  • Serve the fresh blood orange juice immediately over ice, or refrigerate it for later use. Enjoy!
