Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer
  • Measuring jigger
  • Plate (for rimming)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Tequila silver or blanco works best
  • 1 oz Lime Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 oz Blue Curaçao
  • Light Corn Syrup for the rim
  • Red Pop Rocks for the rim
  • Ice Cubes
  • Small American Flags optional for garnish

Instructions
 

Prep the Glass:

  • Pour a bit of corn syrup on a plate. Dip the rim of the margarita glass in the syrup, then into the Pop Rocks. Set aside.

Shake It Up:

  • In a cocktail shaker, add tequila, lime juice, and blue curaçao. Fill with ice and shake well — around 20 seconds.

Strain & Pour:

  • Strain the margarita into your rimmed glass over fresh ice.

Garnish & Serve:

  • Add a mini American flag for flair if you’ve got one. Serve right away — before the Pop Rocks lose their spark!
