- 2 carrots medium pieces
- 4 celery stalks washed and trimmed
- 1 apple medium pieces
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger about 1 inch
- 1 lemon juiced (optional)
- 2 tablespoons sugar optional
- 6 mint leaves optional
- 2 cups ice optional
Prep the Veggies: Wash the carrots, celery, and apple under cold water. Chop them into pieces that fit into your juicer or blender.
Juice It: If you have a juicer, turn it on. Push the ginger and mint through first. Next, add the celery and carrots. Finish with the apple.
The Blender Method: If you do not have a juicer, put all the ingredients into your blender. Add half a cup of water to help it move. Blend on high until it looks like a smoothie.
Strain the Juice: Pour the blended mix through a nut milk bag or a fine strainer into a pitcher. Squeeze it well to get all the liquid out.
Final Touch: Stir in the lemon juice if you want a zingy taste. Add sugar if you like it sweeter.
Serve: Pour the juice into two glasses. Add ice and enjoy it while it is cold.
- Consistency: If the juice is too thick for you, add a little more water.
- Sweetness: Taste the juice before adding sugar. Carrots and apples are often sweet enough on their own.
- Lemon: Add the lemon at the very end to keep the flavor bright.
